Brian thrives on building what the imagination creates. At home that means tackling home renovations projects, rebuilding vintage British motorcycles or camping with his family. At VAA, it’s a mindset that helps create the best results for his clients and co-workers. He excels during design-build opportunities where design direction is a collaborative process among client team members resulting in the best value for an owner.

Joining the firm as a Project Structural Engineer, Brian has grown within VAA. As a Partner, his role includes annual business planning and growth to manage and advance relationships with clients in the firm’s building and agribusiness sectors. On a daily basis, Brian will continue to provide quality control reviews and apply design knowledge to a variety of projects.

Brian’s knowledge with national standards, building codes and Federal Government criteria are a valuable resource both internally and externally. His work with Army Reserve Centers, senior living facilities and other commercial buildings include designing structural systems from structural steel to post-tensioned concrete structures, including special high-wind and seismic detailing.
