Crude Oil Transload Facility
- DESIGN INCLUDED TWO 120,000-BARREL CRUDE OIL STORAGE TANKS
- INCORPORATED A 120-CAR SHUTTLE TRAIN RAIL SYSTEM
- UTILIZED RAIL DESIGN, ROAD ACCESS, AND STORMWATER TREATMENT EXPERTISE
- DESIGNED FOR 24-HOUR ACCESSIBILITY
VAA partnered on the design of a 24/7 crude oil transload facility, integrating storage, rail, truck, and future refinery capabilities on a 200-acre site.
VAA served as a key design partner for a 200-acre crude oil transload facility. This landmark project for the client required expertise in oil and gas regulations, master planning, civil and rail engineering, and industrial design. The facility features 24/7 operations with two 120,000-barrel storage tanks, truck receiving, rail loading, LACT system, pumping stations, and multiple support buildings. The phased design also accommodates future refinery expansion.
