Fromm Family Foods Pet Food Expansion
VAA provided design services which allowed Fromm Family Foods to reduce truck receiving time by more than half while adding nearly four million pounds of storage to the facility, all while maintaining plant operations.

Challenge
The plant needed to remain operational during construction, and the new design needed to maintain facility truck routing despite the small site footprint.
Solution
The Columbus facility remained operational throughout the year-long design and construction process. Operating within the small footprint, VAA provided a design that maintained employee and semi-truck parking spaces, allowed access to the existing truck receiving bays, and created a path to the new truck receiving and loadout bay.
Results
- Reduced truck receiving time by more than half
- Added nearly four million pounds of storage
- Anticipated future expansion by adding a basement to store additional processing equipment
