Rob Duerksen to Lead VAA Presence in Canada

VAA has tapped F. Robert (Rob) Duerksen, P. Eng, to lead and manage the firm’s growing Canadian operation. The move is an intentional step in VAA’s commitment to better serve clients invested in the exciting growth of many Canadian industries. 

About Rob Duerksen 

Duerksen joins VAA with decades of experience in senior construction and design management roles. From museums, civil infrastructure and healthcare projects to ag-industrial processing plants and agricultural commodity-handling and storage, Duerksen’s versatile portfolio demonstrates his success as a project lead and subject matter expert across many industries in Central and Western Canada.  

Duerksen leads with a personable management style when coordinating large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects between internal and external teams. Fluent in German, Spanish, and English, Duerksen is a gifted communicator motivated to grow opportunities into long-term partnerships.  

A resident of the Winnipeg area, Duerksen is an avid ice hockey and football fan, loyal to the hometown professional teams, the Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers. He has also been known for attempting to catch the odd fish up in the local cottage country and enjoying nature while searching for his golf ball off the beaten path.
